Get double duty out of these lined placemats by using two complementary fabrics.  One side is decorated with grosgrain ribbon (or trim of your choice) and the other side is plain.  One thickness of batting between the layers adds body and weight for a professional look.  The finished mat measured 18 3/4" wide and 13 1/2" long.  Make matching napkins for a coordinated place setting.  Use the same fabrics to create these elegant, reversible table napkins.  One side is embellished with trim to match the placemat and the other side is plain.  The two fabric layers make a heavy, functional, yet decorative napkin.  These make great gifts and you'll want several sets for yourself!  Make them out of holiday fabrics for a quick inexpensive addition to your holiday table.  The napkins are generously sized at 20" square.
