Knit Baby Gown and Jacket—Left Picture, Gown, Center Picture, Jacket, Right Picture, Jacket Details. Layer this precious little jacket over the matching gown for an adorable outfit. Cotton knit is soft and cuddly, prefect for serging. Inside seams are finished flawlessly, ribbing at the neck and sleeves of the gown can be attached almost instantly, and lettuce edging makes a decorative hem finish on both garments. A touch of elegance is added by the sheen of silk satin ribbon that is used to tie the jacket at the neck; the ribbon also runs along the front opening edges and sleeve edges. The pattern is a basic raglan-sleeve style, so construction couldn’t be easier. Project time 6 hrs. (Jacket and Gown)
